Are your refractory products compatible with induction heating systems?

Yes. We offer non-conductive materials where required, as well as high-strength options for use around induction coils and in high-frequency environments.

Do you offer products that resist chemical attack in corrosive atmospheres?

Yes. Our specialised grades, such as Vulcasil Z and ZEROX, are designed to resist chemical corrosion and are ideal for aggressive operating conditions.

Can Vulcan create refractories for pharmaceutical applications?

Does Vulcan manufacture infrared heaters?

Yes. We manufacture both quartz and ceramic infrared heaters in standard sizes and custom designs tailored to your application.

Where are Vulcan’s products manufactured?

All of our products are proudly manufactured at our facility in Cheadle, Staffordshire, in the United Kingdom.

Are Vulcan’s products available in both standard and custom sizes?

For many years, we have supplied custom refractory products to businesses worldwide. Each item is carefully manufactured to match your precise design requirements, delivering accuracy and exceptional quality.

Can you replicate or replace an existing refractory component I currently use?

Absolutely. We can assess samples or technical drawings of your existing part and offer a like-for-like or improved alternative.

Do you provide installation or on-site services?

While we focus on manufacturing, our sister company Zampell UK offers refractory installation and related site services.

Do you export your products internationally?

Yes. Around 75% of our production is exported globally, supporting industrial clients around the world.

How does Vulcan promote health and safety in the workplace?

Health and safety are top priorities. We operate under ISO 45001 standards and have consistently received RoSPA Gold Awards for excellence in this area.

What certifications and accreditations do you hold?

Vulcan is a ‘Safety First’ company. In 2018, we became the first UK refractory manufacturing company to be accredited to the ISO45001 international standard for occupational health and safety. We are also multiple-time recipients of the RoSPA Gold Award for Health and Safety.
