The
Vulcatherm V6 500 watt emitter is cheaper to run because it is half the
wattage of the original heater. The heater's variable temperature controller
allows the operator to choose to use between 20% and 100% power. In addition,
the E27 screw-in connection enables the emitter to be easily maintained
or replaced.
So far the company has installed 140 Vulcan heaters in the hotelware plant, for use with both china holloware and flat ware such as plates. An additional 60 units have been supplied to the main Barlaston plant for heating china holloware. Eventually the company plans to introduce the new heaters for drying holloware at all of its operating plants, says Mr Belcher.
