Wave Quartz Infra red emitters are utilised by British United Shoe Machinery
to accelerate the activation of polyurethane adhesive during the shoe
manufacturing process
In normal air drying circumstances the drying took 20-30 minutes, this has been reduced to a 1.5 minute cycle for both sole and upper utilising a combined convection and infra red system to activate the adhesive prior to the bonding
The process ensures a dependable bond between the upper and sole and reduces work in progress and manufacturing area
